Duncan Gibb


Experience

  • 35 years’ experience within the leisure, place management, and professional sport industries.
  • Duncan has worked across both the public and private sectors, holding senior leadership roles such as Area Contract Manager for one of the UK’s leading leisure operators, Assistant City Centre Manager for a large local authority, and Chief Executive of Derby County Football Club Women.
  • Since joining Right Directions as a Quest Mystery Visitor back in 2011, he has gone on to deliver just under 200 MV’s and assessments across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
  • Additionally, Duncan had led organisations that he has managed to several externally recognised successes and achievements that include; National Fitness Awards – Community Involvement Award, Football Association - Club of the Year (twice), and the securing of Quest ‘Outstanding’
  • He won the Football Association – Outstanding Contribution to Women’s Football’ award in 2023.

Interests

  • A lifelong sports enthusiast and participant, Duncan continues to attempt to play cricket at local league level

  • In keeping with that he is a keen follower of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, Gloucester Rugby Club and Derby County Football Club. 

  • As a keen traveller and walking enthusiast, he has completed several long-distance walking projects, including the North Wales Coastal Path, Peddars Way, Norfolk Coast Path, and Mendip Way.
