Experience

  • I’ve worked in the sector since 1994. As lifeguard, swimming teacher, and several leadership roles.
  • I was with STA and ASA / Swim England for many years working on programmes such as STAMark and SwimMark.
  • For the last 3 years I’ve been with GM Active a collaboration of 12 leisure trusts and 99 facilities, leading change and evolution across Greater Manchester and for our sector.
  • I’ve been Quest assessing for almost 12 months now, I really enjoy meeting new people and visiting new facilities. Aiming to ensure that Quest is a development tool and enjoy helping facilities to achieve accreditation.

  • Leadership in multidiscipline environments as a volunteer- overseeing expansions of membership, participation and facilities in Tennis, Rugby, and Swimming.

Interests

  • Outside of being a dad taxi on the weekend
  • I enjoy coaching a youth rugby team
  • Love staying active and being in the great outdoors
