Swim England Learn to Swim Accreditation is a quality mark for swim schools and operators delivering the Learn to Swim Programme. Learn to Swim Accreditation recognises excellence in governance, sustainability and effectiveness and raises the profile of your Learn to Swim Programme offer.

This includes swim schools, school swimming programmes, local authority operators, leisure trusts, private leisure providers and multi-site organisations.

Once Accredited, you will receive a certificate, personalised plaque and the Swim England Accredited Provider logo. These quality marks can be displayed at your facility and used on all your promotional material to help parents and learners identify you as a Learn to Swim Accredited Provider.

You are able to complete the Swim England Learn to Swim Accreditation either as a standalone assessment or as part of a two-day Quest Plus Assessment.

To achieve the Accreditation, you will need to select one of the assessment options below.

Standalone Assessment

The ‘Standalone Assessment’ is approximately half a day review of your current practices and procedures with an experienced assessor; and must take place when your swimming lesson programme is running.

If you choose this option, we will confirm a date and assign an assessor to your facility and the process can begin.

If you would like to complete a Standalone Assessment, please complete a copy of our application form: Swim England Learn to Swim Application Form

The cost will be £595 plus VAT and once achieved the award lasts for two years.

Corporate Accreditation

Larger organisations can choose to accredit the whole of their facilities to ‘Swim England Learn to Swim’.

Any organisation with four or more eligible facilities can apply to be assessed as a ‘multi-site’:

  • Organisations with between four and 14 sites, three facilities will be assessed
  • Organisations with 15 plus sites, 20% of the organisation’s facilities will be assessed.

If all facilities pass, the whole organisation passes. On renewal of the accreditation different centres will be sampled, with new centres to the organisation being completed as priority.

The assessment process can still be undertaken either by the standalone assessment or via a Quest Plus assessment.

Achieving the Accreditation
